The Alaska Department of Fish and Game has announced today that from 8/1 until 8/15 the use of bait and multiple hooks are prohibited. This emergency order is to help reduce incidentally hooked king salmon while fishing for coho salmon.
Smart move on ADFG's part. Long live the kings.
