How to Can Salmon



Here's a step by step guide on how to can salmon.  Number 1, catch a salmon.



Number 2, fillet the salmon.


Number 3, let Jane take care of the rest.

Every summer Jane will can about 60 pints of salmon.  I personally prefer my salmon on the grill or smoked, but Jane will make salmon dip and salmon patties from what she cans.

Double barrel pressure canners.  It cuts the work in half!
